DIY Leak Detection Test

The Water Meter Test

  1. Turn off all water-using appliances and fixtures (dishwasher, washing machine, faucets, etc.)
  2. Locate your water meter and record the current reading
  3. Wait 1-2 hours without using any water
  4. Check the meter again – if it has moved, you likely have a leak
